Oil on Canvas
My largest canvas and an incredible experience to paint. With blossoms acquired from one of the local park’s random flower beds (using the “Midnite Five-Finger Discount”), then placed in my mom’s antique cut-glass celery boat, juxtaposing such plebeian flowers in a quasi-elegant snack tray from the 1950’s jarred the contemporary sensitivities of an erstwhile gallery owner in Boca Raton. She refused to show it…..oh yawn.
